What does the gong do?

  Something that i can’t figure out and wasn’t explained in the tutorial. When you hit the gong it makes a sound and starts a countdown. What effect does this have?

  It sets the nearby control point/collection point on fire. Great for helping to hold your point or to deny the enemy team the ability to deposit their collected cells.
