This is the only game that I enjoy playing tanks. Because I can really feel and see that I'm taking damage in order to protect my team. Tank in other games, means a little bit of more health and maybe a shield or something. Sure they can stay alive 1 or 2 seconds longer than other characters (since every game is heavily interested in burst meta) but they don't feel as they are any different than other characters. If there was at least one tank in every game like buttercup or mekko or bastardo, I'd be a tank main by now. These tanks literally make you ignore the healer to focus on them. Recently, whenever I play mekko, the enemy focuses me at all cost, because they know as long as mekko is alive, he won't let his team die. In other games, you just walk past the tank, kill the healer in 2 seconds, and proceed to destroy the rest.
But about the supports, they a little bit too strong if you ask. It works fine for single support, but double support is a hell nightmare. Specially because, they are also capable of doing massive damage. Kulev can even get top damage of the game! I think they need to have a system which reduces the amount of healing if there are more than 1 healer in a game.

RE: Skin Prices
Level 30 is too much and level 15 is too little. I think level 20 is nice. Still, I'm not buying any of them until the color variations become cheap. It makes 0 sense right now...

Skin Prices
We thought paying 2000 coins per each skin (Or should I say each color variation) was too much. But oh boy, this new prices are atrocious!
I really like the idea of reaching level 30 before being able to buy some skins, which will give players something to grind for. And it's a great way of showing off your mastery on a fighter. BUT, the thing is, whose idea was to charge the full price for the color variations? It would make much more sense to pay 12000 for the skin, and something like 1000 or 2000 for each variation. But 12000 for each variation??? Why!?
Same thing for the other skins. They are way too expensive if we have to pay 5000 or 7500 for each variation, since the rewards after each game are very very little. I'm guessing there will be options to buy coins for real money in the future, because this amount of match reward is never enough. But still, having to pay full price to get the same skin with a different color is not a good idea. -
Social (The friends list)
Dude, why? Who thought this was a good idea to hide offline friends? Like, wow. I just can't wrap my head around it xD
Please fix this. I wanna see my friend list. You know how some games, like, every other multiplayer game, shows you the full friend list?
It would be nice to see their current state as well. Like, they're in lobby, in party, in match, like that. Also, I'm not able to link my steam account. Does anybody else have this issue ?

RE: We nees more numbers
Yes. I've played a lot of Paladins and a similar problem exist there as well. Some information NEEDS to be given to the player. Because it's required to build a viable mod loadout. For example, in Paladins, there are 2 ways of increasing the reload speed of characters. Either through the loadouts that player makes before any match (Just like in BE) and, through an item in the item shop during the game. The game does not tell you that there is a hard cap of 60% for reload speed increase, and many players will waste their credits to make their reload speed faster by 80% or so by combining loadout and items, which does go over 60%. And it's not easy to tell there is a cap by just looking at the reload speed. That being said, there is only 2 hard caps in that game (for reload and cooldown reduction). So there is not even a reliable pattern for players to discover all the limitations. It's not hard for players to discover all these information. It's impossible !
But at least in Paladins, we know how much damage each weapon does. Here, we don't even have that. We don't know if a damage increase for a character is worth it or not, because we don't know how many less hits it will take to kill an enemy with that increased damage. Which you might say, you can just test it out in dojo. But dojo, is under my control! I can't control my enemy for using or not using a hp increase mod, and as far as I checked, there is not even a way to see the other players' loadout. It's honestly stupid to go into dojo and test out everything, while realistically the game should tell you. How much do healers heal? We don't know. We can test out Mikko and Kulev by going into the dojo, lighting the fire and reducing our health, using the heal and see how much it heals (which is really stupid because a single number in the info screen, could save a lot of time!). But for ZeroCool, there is no way to accurately tell how much heal per second he has. I don't know the amount of healing reduction in Mekko's safe zone, the amount of Kulev's curse effectiveness, the health of Miko's shield... You get the idea. This much hidden information is atrocious! I can't be certain if a mod is useful in some situation or not, an ability is useful in certain situation or not. And it's not like the developers need to discover these so they can tell us. They have coded this $hit! The more information is in the game, the more approachable it will become, and the new players will be more comfortable to stick around for long. -
RE: Balacing
Yep. Gizmo is really, really unfair. People have not realized her power yet. You can very easily outdamage everyone by at least twice the amount. Because she can fire forever. And the reason I say she is not balanced is because you don't need to aim in this game! I think the overheating is a good idea, if it's similar to how ZeroCool's heal works. A heat meter, which rises while she is firing, and she needs to stop firing so it will decrease. But if it reaches the maximum, the gun will overheat and she can't fire until the gun until the heat is reduced to something like 60%. That way, you won't just hold fire and GG EZ. You'll need to have actual strategy. Or just make the aiming system manual for her.

RE: Challanges
It would be nice to have some kind of daily reward as well. You know, the kind that rewards more for every day you log in constantly.

RE: Buff mukutu and nerf buttercup
The first thing that needs to change about Buttercup, is the fact that you can't dismount her!! Why ? Either give this perk to all the tanks, or don't give it to someone who is already bloated with abilities.
As for Makutu, the changing stances are a great opportunity to have a really dynamic character, but nope. The repelent is completely freaking useless (even with the mods). The devs need to make each one of his abilities be affected by the stance he is using. So he would have a really dynamic and fun playstyle which rewards players for using the right abilities at the moment. -
RE: The game is gonna die fast without ranked.
Yes, yes, and yes.
Actually you brought up a good example : League of Legends.
From a technical perspective, it's not even a good game! Because Riot wants it to appeal to everyone (new players mostly) So they make huge changes to the game that completely ruins it for a lot of older players. The community is beyond toxic, to the point that it's not fun at all. So why so many people play it? Because of the competition. The feeling of accomplishment. They have had so much progress that they can't quit. I keep playing BE because I want to be decent when the ranked mode hits, but I assume that's not the case for a lot of other players.
Speaking of Riot, everyone is talking about this new game called Valorant. Although it's just come out, it's generic as hell, and does not have much to offer right now, people are going crazy about it. I'm sure if the exact same game was made by some indie studio, nobody would give a $hit about it. Just like BE. The game is really good, but nobody cares because there are no "fancy" names behind it. And unfortunately, passion projects are always overshadowed by brands. -
Is this gonna happen every new patch ??
Hey sup people...
Why every time a new patch drops, I can not join any game!! Like, it will kick me out in the loading screen, or in the hero selection part. Why is this happening? -
The Relationships so far
So here's what I understood from what they say in the spawn area, and from the selfie they got together :
ZeroCool seems to have a crush on Gizmo
Kulev DEFINITELY has a crush on Maeve, like, he outright says that
Kulev and El Bastardo don't seem to like each other that much, as you can tell from their voice lines AND by looking at them in the selfie.
Daemon might have a crush on Miko, but I'm not too sure.
Also, Daemon is the only person that Nidhoggr is nice to. The only time you hear Nid laugh, is when he answers Daemon. Also in the trailer, he smiles at him. They could be old friends.
Ok that's all I could assume is right. Anyone can add some more ?

RE: How to fix Maeve and Buttercup
Actually, I didn't say Maeve is overpowered. She is just too annoying and not fun to play against! And also, you don't get punished enough if you play poorly with her... The value you can get out of her compared to how much skill it needs, is simply not fair.
-
How to fix Maeve and Buttercup
So as a lot of you people have noticed by now, buttercup and maeve are the most annoying characters to play against right now, because they have so many abilities put into their kit which require little to no amount of skill to get value from. The fact that the game counts maeve as an "advanced" character, is a joke!! On my first game with her, I completely wiped the floor with the enemies, which means she is so easy to play compared to how powerful she is. And don't even get me started about buttercup...
So how we fix that?
First of all, maeve. The cage and siphon combo is too easy to pull off, and even if the victim manages to escape, the siphon won't stop until you waste all of your mobility, or have some kind of cc. I mean, jeez !! Even the last hit in melee combos which kicks the enemy, won't stop the siphon. There are a few solutions for this: Either reduce the range of siphon so you don't need to reach the other end of the map to stop it, or make the cage cripple her other abilities, so it will be more like some sort of ability which is useful in team fight, and if you use it wrong, you will be punished... Because if the enemy escapes, you can't use any other abilities and will be vulnerable to them... The biggest problem with this character, is that you don't get punished for playing brain dead! And also, make the siphon stop if she gets hit by the last melee combo hit. She should not be able to completely shut down melee characters.
And then there is SCHADENFREUDE (which I just copied from her info page cause I can't be bothered to memorize it). Dude, who thought this is a good idea? I mean, even if it doesn't reset the cool downs, it has 2 mods which can give 15% ult charge and 2% damage buff which stacks up to 10 times !! I think it should reduce the cool downs by half.About buttercup, the biggest problem is with her oil slick. Why the effect still remains after you exit it for so long ? With the mod which gives it extra slow, you are officially immobilized for so long. The right solution for this, is to make the oil slick only affect enemies who are in it. The fact that you have to use 1 stamina bar to get out of it, is enough to make it viable. The other thing, is her launch. Not enough people are talking about this, but it's basically Makutu's charge with no cool down ! You can use it to get out, to get the enemies off your healers, to chase an enemy, it's just too much for an ability with no cool down. In conclusion, she excels at displacing enemies. So if you wanna keep it that way, at least give her less damage and less mobility ! The fact that she can have extra 40% speed boost plus some healing while using it, is just insane. Therefor, I think a little bit of dps nerf and a little bit of speed boost nerf is required.
-
RE: Net Buttercup
The thing is, she is really, really good at tanking. A tank's job is to protect the healer, and she has plenty of tools for that. If you ram into someone with your mount, you can displace them. If you hold your left click and release, you rush into enemies and displace them. This is something I don't see a lot of people use, but it's by far the best way to get the enemy off your healer. And also, the hook can displace the enemies. On top of that, you can have some really crazy speed with her! Considering the fact that her whip lash has a really short cool down, you can use the mod which gives you 20% speed bonus while using whip lash, and also use the mod for another 20% speed bonus for your burl, so you can chase any enemy or get out of any situation with ease. And we shouldn't forget about the freaking extra slow mod which literally makes you a sitting duck.

RE: NERF Cass Dart Super
I think they should decrease the charge rate. Specially with the amount of damage she pumps out, she gets it really quickly. Just like how Rock-it and Minimech for Gizmo works. Sure, minimech is a lot better, but rock-it almost charges 3x faster which makes it viable in certain situations. For Cass, the only viable super is the blade dance.

RE: Balancing Makutu - Personal opinion.
Yep. Repellent is really useless, and even with mods, it's not really a good ability. The only time it came in handy, was the time that I pushed someone off the ledge in skygarden with it, and that was a very specific location, which people most likely don't go there at all ! Perhaps Repellent could be replaced with some kind of hybrid ability as well, just like the stance. It could provide mobility in pepeke stance ( a real mobility ! Not just a speed boost) and a supportive ability like a shield or something in the ora stance.

RE: Feedback as a new player
What you said is true, but you need to keep 2 things in mind :
-
This game is so new. A lot of people have below average intelligence, which means they need time to get better at the game. So, it's impossible to expect good solo games right now. They are getting better, however. But there is still a long way...
-
Although it is possible to carry a game in other multiplayer games, it's not very likely to happen. In every damn multiplayer game, you NEED to have a good team. That's why people do not play ranked matches solo. Because no matter how good you are, if a teammate sucks so bad, you are not playing 6v6 or 5v5 or whatever. You have one less team member, and the only way for your team to win, is if the enemy gets too confident and take it easy, or they also have teammates that suck. I don't understand why people are making this subject such a big deal here, since it exists in every multiplayer game ! I think it's because you can really FEEL it here, and it is painful, indeed. But as soon as the matchmaking becomes better and people start to learn the game, it won't be as frustrating, but still, it's a multiplayer game for God sake!

RE: This number is terrifying ...
@Johnbonne said in This number is terrifying ...:
If we're going to lose players because they weren't going to do a tutorial I have to wonder if they were really that interested in the game in the first place.
Since most of people are so blind and dumb to say that this game is like overwatch, they also think they know the basics of a "Hero Shooter" and don't need tutorials. I've seen them say that ! They say: pff, we've played a lot of fps games. We know how it goes.
